Safety & Security

Ascribe helps clients to effectively manage and mitigate the security, compliance and financial risks associated with performance in the mortgage origination, servicing and default markets. In today’s regulatory environment, it’s not enough to just follow the rules. There must be evidence that the rules were followed and documented accordingly. Our internal Compliance Department is dedicated to an established system of checks and balances, which ensures Ascribe stays in compliance with all federal, state and local laws and industry standards and guidelines. 

As part of its overall compliance strategy, Ascribe contracts with an independent third-party audit firm to annually conduct SOC I Type II and SOC II Type II examinations of the company’s internal security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy controls.

Vendor Management

Ascribe maintains a nationwide panel of thousands of independent appraisers, real estate brokers, agents, and inspectors who are experts in their fields and local to each transaction or subject property. Potential vendors are subjected to a vetting process to verify that they are properly credentialed, licensed, and meet regulatory and corporate criteria prior to approval. Any vendor who fails to meet Ascribe requirements is denied inclusion on the panel. An ongoing management and scoring process ensures that the vendor panel maintains the eligibility and knowledge to credibly complete assignments that meet client, industry, and Ascribe requirements.
