Ascribe manages appraisals that comply with all relevant local, state and federal laws and regulations including the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP), the Interagency Guidelines (IAG) and Government Sponsored Enterprise (GSE) requirements.

Our automated selection process evaluates appraiser performance history and status and then automatically assigns the appropriate local appraiser in the local market to each service request. Additionally, Ascribe’s quality control division systematically and manually examines each completed appraisal to ensure underwriter readiness while simultaneously meeting client, HUD, FHFA and other regulatory standards.

Reverse Appraisals

As home owners begin to retire, many determine that leveraging the equity within their home through a reverse mortgage is a convenient method to unlocking wealth.

A reverse mortgage is also known as a Home Equity Conversion Mortgage (HECM).

More specifically, a reverse mortgage is a loan for eligible homeowners, age 62 and older, that have sufficient equity in their home. When the reverse mortgage loan is funded, the homeowner receives those funds in the form of a single payment, fixed monthly payment, or a line of credit.
